Roles and Responsibilities
ConnectNetwork is responsible for:
- Conducting a community-based feasibility assessment
- Coordinating advertising, vetting and interviewing of coordinator applicants, with local Advisory Council’s input
- Providing a customized operations manual
- Training local staff on the Web-based content management application
- Training local staff on content development
- Training/providing technical assistance to local staff to design and implement a high profile launch event.
- Providing technical and operations assistance during the work day
- Providing format and national content for weekly update
- Maintaining the Web-based application and server
- Continuous improvement of applications
- Maintaining national Web-based content
ConnectAffiliate Sites are responsible for:
- Funding a local coordinator plus research assistants to develop operating funds, work with the community, approve email list messages, drive local use, research and write state and local Web-based content, which the local partner(s) control
- Providing a computer and high-speed Internet access
- Covering overhead, mileage/travel expenses, and supplies for the local coordinator (including office, desk, phone, access to office equipment, cell phone, etc.)
- Paying an annual Network fee
